Bar Stools

Guess what came in the mail?

Here are my two cute kiddos who wanted in on the action.

 

Yep, we finally found some bar stools! I feel like we searched just about everywhere, and because we were having a hard time finding something that we liked and could afford, I was ready to make some. But then we came across this deal from Overstock.

Sold. I know they're not the cheapest we could find, but they're solid wood and have a back which we really wanted since we have two little kids. Everything else with a back was at least double the price.

The stools have a dark stain which I knew probably wouldn't go with our floors and greyish-stained table, but since they didn't come assembled, I knew I could sand and stain them the color we wanted.  But of course part of me was hoping the color would still work. I took them out, and sure enough the color wasn't quite right.

So now I'm in the process of refinishing the chairs...hoping to have finished pictures soon!
