Entryway

Here was my inspiration. I love the white trim, hooks and the bench with storage.

This is how our entryway started out. It had vinyl flooring with carpet on the stairs.

First, we painted the trim and the closet door.

Then we replaced the flooring. That included placing new stair treads (I'll post more details on this later).

We also painted and re-stained the banister to match the floor.

I then added board and batten and painted the walls Valspar - Filtered Shade (we had Sherwin Williams color match).

I wanted to break up all that white, so we decided to paint the doors.

We bought these baskets to help contain gloves, scarves, hats, etc. I think they go great with this bench that I made. I then added the chalk labels to the baskets.

Here is a close up of the trim.

    2. I'm curious - did you keep the wood blind or did you change it to white?

  12. You are too cute! Thank you. It is 12mm Laminate that we bought at Lumber Liquidator called Imperial Teak. If you don't want laminate and want the real deal (which is what I wish we could afford) They have a handscraped wood version of the exact color that is BEAUTIFUL! Here is a link that talks a little more about our floor:

    Hope that helps!

  13. How did you paint the door? Did you have to sand, prime & then paint? What type of wood is it? Did you use stain or paint? Can you tell the paint/stain brand, color & where you purchased it?

  15. Question!!!!! When you see these walls painted this color does it have a beige tint to it? When I selected this for our bedroom it looked like a pure light gray, no tint of any other color. But when I put the sample paint on the wall it looks far more beige than in any pictures I've seen online. I'm hoping perhaps its just the sample paint?? I really love the color and love the way it looks on your walls!

    1. No, if anything it reads more with blue undertone in my house. Are you painting the sample paint over an existing paint color? If so, that can make it look different than when the whole wall is painted.
